Medical Technologist (MT) Prep & Review Course

Program objectives

This course provides a transitional and contextual approach to preparing Medical Technologists who graduated abroad to pass the certification exams to obtain a license as a Medical Technologist. This course will review mastery of all topics to be interrogated by understanding processes commonly performed in laboratories, the scope of practice, and licensing requirements. Upon completing this course, the student will be better prepared to take and pass the MT exam.

Program description

This preparation and review course is for those Medical Technologists who graduated abroad who wish to pass the MT exam and thus obtain the certification/license granted by the different organizations recognized by the various health departments of each state. that manage the exercise of the profession of Medical Laboratory Technologist/scientist in order to exercise the profession within the framework of safe and effective practice.

During the development of this 9-week review and tutoring program, the participants will have the support of qualified instructors with extensive experience preparing foreign Medical Technologists to take the MT Exam. Our tutorials are also administrative, especially to guide international applicants to meet the requirements of the different administrative agencies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Medical Technologists obtained in your country of origin and transcript, we will guide you through the translation process, which must subsequently be evaluated by the agency recognized by AMT, ASCP, ABB, and/or Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel.
  • Personal Identification (Passport, ID, Driver’s License).
  • Have less than 5 years without practicing the profession.
  • TOFEL approval is not required, but an intermediate level of English is recommended.

Completion:

As a requirement for a good preparation, the students will demonstrate their abilities through exams throughout the course.
